We are living in a world where childhood is celebrated and even glorified. So For a lot of people, the realization they are growing older may be depressing, since they see aging as a limit both physically and emotionally. But ageing does not have to mean placing boundaries. In actuality, aging may be liberating if we take the fact that getting older is part of this cycle of life. The art of aging involves the capacity to discern what is important in life and the ability to live each day mindfully and with intention. Live each day mindfully. The art of living mindfully takes training and, as we age, we generally have more time to pursue life with intention in test of mental age. Therefore, each day should start with a commitment to live in the present with no regrets and a goal of being mindful of every moment of our life journey.
Ageing is an inevitable part of life. Regardless of what we do, we cannot escape from growing older. On the other hand, we could control how we see the aging process, including accepting the wrinkles on our face, the sagging skin, and the reduction of physical and mental agility. We cannot stop something from happening that is intrinsic to life itself, and we will never be happy if we spend our time doing battle with the aging procedure. Instead, we ought to celebrate aging and do all we can to remain emotionally and physically healthy in the procedure. A positive outlook on aging is essential. The Buddha teaches that we are of the nature to grow old.
Knowing this inescapable fact can help us develop a more positive attitude about the aging procedure. There is also evidence suggesting that elderly persons having a more positive outlook on aging live longer than those with a negative viewpoint. What is more, it may be unhealthy for us to maintain a negative attitude about getting older due to the strain it can create. It is the smart person, therefore, who celebrates aging.
